The Long Grain of Sleep

The photographs in this series were taken between 1999 and 2005 with an old 35mm camera Zar’s grandfather used to take pictures of orphans he and his wife rescued after WWII. After being developed, they were lost in an unnoticed flood (the pictures, not the orphans), until the well of weather-water was discovered, and they were repurposed into these pieces. The negatives were all destroyed.
