Nomads

Nomadic paintings and other wandering souls.

“An affinity for the times between actions, the moments before and after irreversible change… these fragments of illusory stillness, just before everything shatters into action… this affinity is the ghost of inherited memory…

…And we, the haunted, we are the nomads on the shore.”

Excerpt from Nomads On The Shore, at Afterhours Projects, Toronto.

*Footnote 1: When the figures wear the landscape upon their bodies, instead of morphing with architectural forms (part of becoming their own homes), they are called terrads, or biomads.  I've included them here with their nomadic kin.

**Footnote 2: The titles of some of the paintings are also nomadic, migrating changing themselves with the site specific context of the pieces.
